Lille'baby Oslo Diaper Bag (Review)
When thinking in terms of a road-trip, though, I was stuck wondering which bag would work for the road, vacation, and days spent out and about. I would need a bag that isn't too big but can hold a lot while also being able to stow away on the stroller or be worn comfortably. Did I mention it needs to be something the hubster wouldn't be embarrassed to carry?
I know it sounds like a tall order, but this is something that matters a lot. It actually removes a lot of stress if the perfect bag can be found.
Recently, I was told about the Lille'baby diaper bags from Scandinavian child. These bags are rather new but I wasn't familiar with the brand at all. When I visited the site, though, I was very impressed. I agreed to review the Oslo Diaper Bag and tell you all about it.
Here's my pretty, red Oslo bag attached to my stroller. I love this feature of the bag. I can remove the strap and attach the bag to the handle as well as attach the bottom of the bag to the frame so it doesn't swing at all.
Do you see the closure at the top of the bag? It's a magnet that lies beneath the fabric. It has a strong hold when it's closed but isn't too difficult to open, either. I think that it's much easier to manage than zippers or snaps, by far. I only wish the magnet was a little larger or there were one at either end of the bag in addition to the one in the middle. I just feel better if I can close my bag all the way.
Behind the front flap of the bag (which also has a magnetic closer) you I found these extremely useful pockets. On the left, is a pocket for Kleenex. I just stock it as needed and use the easy dispenser. No more digging through my bag! With colder weather on its way, this will be a lifesaver.
The right side has a zippered pouch with a covered dispenser for diaper wipes. I'm crazy about this feature. To be able to fill it as I need and have it stay on the outside of my bag, giving me more room for other necessities inside, is something that I wish were the standard in diaper bags. Not to mention, this can fit a lot of wipes which means I can be away from home longer without needing to worry about running out.
Also, on the front, are two, smaller storage pockets that I can put things I need immediate access to like a first aid kit or teething gel. On the front flap is a zippered pocket. I find this is the perfect size to hold my cell phone, chap stick, lip gloss, and change purse.
On one side of the bag is a vented cup holder with a drawstring top. It's great to lock a drink in there for my son and know that if it leaks, it won't make a mess in the pocket itself. And, any liquid that does happen to stay in the pocket will easily drip and dry. If there's one thing I don't like, it's an icky cup pocket.
The opposite side of the bag has a flat, deep pocket that can be used to store whatever I need it to. On a road-trip, this could easily be used to hold maps for the road or local attractions.
The inside of this bag is just as smart as the outside. Pictured above, this interior, side pocket is used to hold diaper disposal bags. I prefer to keep bags with me all the time as it's a nice way to dispose of diapers out in public without making a mess and cutting down on any odor. However, there are many different types of dispensers/bags on the market. With this pocket, I can buy the cheapest "refill" package of bags and pop it in the pocket for easy use.
On the opposite side of the interior, is a mesh pocket that is meant for storing and airing pacifiers when not in use. Because of this pocket, I don't have to dig for the spare pacifier when Eliana decides to toss the one she's using.
Here is a pocket that zips shut. It's very deep so it's perfect for stashing away anything I like. Whether I choose to use it for my wallet, checkbook, or something entirely different, this pocket will keep it secure and out of the way.
The two pockets pictured above are huge and on one side of the bag. I commonly use one for diapers and the other for spare clothes so they're not crowding the bottom of the bag.
Are you seeing how the Oslo Diaper Bag has a place for everything? As a mom of 2, this is what I need when I am packing for use on a road trip. Otherwise, I would have things crammed in a bag and would have no order to it. I could forget about trying to find something in a pinch.
The final thing I want to share with you is the changing pad. I know. You're probably thinking a changing pad is just a changing pad. That's not true in this case.
For starters, this has a removable, washable, terrycloth liner that is soft and cozy for a baby to lay on. Rather than cold nylon material.
And have you ever wished you had an extra pair of hands when changing a baby? I know I always do since Eliana squirms and wiggles all over the place when I'm changing her diaper. Well, meet the solution. This changing pad has tabs to hold a diaper in place so I can focus on keeping my little one safe and getting her diaper changes done faster.
If the features I've highlighted aren't enough, the Oslo Diaper Bag can also be worn as a backpack by simply attaching the strap on the bottom of the bag and looping it through the slots on the back of the bag. It can also carry your laptop too. Ah, the freedom this bag brings.
This is a very smart bag and I think it's not only useful for me as a mom of two, but I think it would be great for a new mom too. With a nice selection of colors, you're bound to find the perfect bag for you.

I absolutely love everything about this bag. There are some seriously fantastic ideas here. The big pockets and accessory bags are great, but the diaper changing station and easily accessible whips are super innovative. Love it!
