Aloha Friday ~ 3-12
A-liggity-loha to ya! You'll have to forgive me for exceedingly rejoicing about today being Friday. Everyone in my house is sick (except me) and I could not be more exhausted.
ANYWAY, it's time for a simple question/answer post with Kailani at An Island Life. If you'd like to play along, click the link for her rules and linky.Today's question is: (Multiple questions, sorry. They're easy. I promise.)
Are you planning any family vacations? Where to? Do you have any tips for packing up my family of 4 to head to Disney?
We have a few overnight stays coming up at local hotels and a big trip to Disney later this year. For the short trips, I know just what and how to pack. However, for the long drive and week's stay in Florida, I'm a bit stumped as for where to even begin...

We have only been on one official vacation, since I really do not count moving from states as vacations. College for 3 kids is now upon us at at $40,000/year there will be no vacations for many, many years to come.
Have a WONDERFUL time at Disney!

Nothing planned in the form of a vacation here. But, traveling to Disney with a family of four will be fun! Enjoy yourselves and if you've never been, don't try to see everything, because you probably won't! Take it all in.....Have fun!

I think the only family vacation we will be "planning" is camping. Unless of course we come into a lot of unexpected money {pfft} then we'll be planning a tripe to Hawaii to visit Mat's best friend.
As far as tips for a long drive? Rest stops :D Lots of them...

We are planning on going to Sesame Place later this year. Hmm.. for Disney I would not bring too many toys or things! It's Disney! They will be very busy. Oh!! And when my family went to Ethiopia I learned that rolling clothes makes them take less space in your suitcase. Have fun!!

When we travel, we have timeshare and make sure that we do all of our laundry before we come home...the night before we leave. Makes things easier back home. One thing that we did that was a LIFE SAVER...I shopped at stores like Target, Walmart, The Disney Store (clearance section), Ross, etc. What I picked up was anything and everything that had anything Disney on it. I packed it all in a bag that the girls didn't notice. We put it on the bottom of the stroller...then after every ride when walking through the gift store...my husband would take the girls out of the store while I would keep walking around. I would get in the bag and pick something out that I wanted to give them and then come out of the store holding them and the girls thought I bought them something in every store we were in. It saved us SO much money! We even got little princess water bottles with little straps for them to wear them. When I had the girls on a ride my husband took that to one of the food booths and had them filled up with Lemonade and when the girls got off the ride, it looked like he had bought those for them. It was awesome!
