Mommy Medusa?

I'm sure you've noticed my curly hair if you've looked at my picture or watched a vlog of mine. Yes, it's natural. I call it a "natural disaster" half the time since it can be a little fun to manage. LOL

My son, Alex, loves to play with my hair from time to time. He gently pulls on curls and watches them bounce back. I tend to think it's sweet.

However, the other day we had the following conversation while he was playing with my hair.

"What is this, mommy?"

"It's a curl, buddy. Mom has curly hair."

"No, it's not. Your hair's not curly, mommy."

"What? Of course it is, silly."

"No, mommy. It's SNAKES! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!" (he started to act like he was shaking)

"Mommy's hair is snakes? That's just lovely."

"Oh, yes, mommy. Your hair is snakes!!! It's not curly."

I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh. Is this how my child sees me?

Where do kids come up with this stuff? I read on another blog, when a mom asked her son that, he said "From school." But the thing is, he doesn't go to school. =p

I'm like Kelly, straight hair here.
I think curly hair is beautiful.
I make sure I tell people, niece, and little girls who have curly hair, how beautiful their hair is and that I love curly hair.
So that's how I'd see you. Your kid has a vivid imagination and that's great as long as he's not trying to kill the snakes, right?
