It’s that time again! Another Friday means another day to take it easy with a question/answer post with Kailani. If you want to know how to get involved and meet new bloggers, click the banner above. It will take you directly to Kailani’s Aloha Friday post.

Today, there are many things I reflect on as we are another year away from the tragedy of the attacks of 9-11. I remember right where I was when I heard about the first plane hitting the first tower. I remember the panic and silence that struck me simultaneously as I watched the events unfold on the news.

I also remember those who went to New York to help find people and those soldiers who went overseas to keep us safe.  My little brother is one of the soldiers who has served our country in Iraq. He gave a year of his time to protect our rights and freedoms. I’m insanely proud of his sacrifice and was so happy to have him return home just before Christmas last year.

Anyway…before I get all teary eyed again…let’s move on to the question.

What is one memory that pulls at your heart strings when remembering Sept. 11th or those who served/ are serving  in Iraq since then?
